🎷 After a two-year hiatus, our International Jazz Day returns to theCOMMONS Thonglor with a boogie and a bang! Bring your besties to our community space on Sat, April 30th (3pm – 11pm) as we swing to the spirit of jazz. Come hungry because “Now you’re cookin!” won’t just refer to the hot rhythms from Sweets Records. Our eateries will be serving mouth-watering bites and boozy beverages. We’ll see you there!

As countries around the world create their own #JazzDays, we’re honoring this UNESCO celebration right here in Bangkok. We invite you to celebrate the positive values of jazz – diversity, dialogue, cooperation, and creativity. Let’s jam!

THE LINE-UP: 

Do these players have chops? Ab-so-lute-ly! We’ve teamed up with Sweets Records to share music that’ll knock your socks off.  

3pm - 6pm: Mike the Butcher 

The fun begins with Mike the Butcher spinning soul, jazz, funk, and more. This London-born, Bangkok-based DJ will take you from afternoon chill to golden hour grooves. Mike’s influences include Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Disco, Reggae, Blue Beat, Afro-beat & Jazz. Get ready for a musical journey! 

7pm – 8.45pm: Standards, Bebop & Beyond by Pamai Trio & His Guitar Pals 
You’re in for a treat as Pamai & his pals share the catchy rhythms of standard jazz, straight-ahead jazz, and bebop. Pamai, Arnat, and Changton will play guitars alongside Teerawat (bass) and Chanutr (drums). These notable musicians will fill your night with hip sounds. 
 

9pm – 11pm: A Jazz Journey with Soul Funk by J.A.B. (Jazz at Bansomdej) 

Listen up as the jazz teachers from Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University share the dynamic nature of jazz. J.A.B is led by Pey (Nattapon Fuangaugsorn) on saxophone along with Panang (guitar), Siriwat (bass), Torfan (drums), Pheeraphat (trumpet), Saranthorn (vocal)… and a special guest, too!

🎷 หลังจากห่างหายกันไป 2 ปี งาน International Jazz Day กลับมาแล้วที่ theCOMMONS ทองหล่อ พร้อมความสนุกที่มากกว่าเดิม พาเพื่อนๆ มาโยกไปกับเสียงเพลงแจ๊สไปด้วยกันในวันเสาร์ที่ 30 เมษายนนี้ (15.00 น. – 23.00 น.). พาท้องว่างๆ ของทุกคนมาได้เลยนะ เพราะร้านต่างๆ กำลังทำอาหารรอทุกคนอยู่ สนุกกับเสียงเพลงจาก Sweets Records แล้วก็มาเติมพลังกับอาหารอร่อยๆ และเครื่องดื่มจากร้านค้าในคอมมูนิตี้ของเรา แล้วเจอกันนะ  

แต่ละประเทศต่างร่วมฉลองวัน #JazzDays นี้ไปด้วยกัน เฉลิมฉลองให้กับมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมการันตีโดย UNESCO เราขอชวนทุกคน มาฉลองกันที่นี่ที่กรุงเทพฯ ของเราให้กับความหลากลาย เรื่องราวที่ซ่อนอยู่ในเสียงเพลง ความสร้างสรรค์ และความสามัคคีนี้ไปด้วยกัน  มาฉลองกัน

15.00 น. – 18.00 น.: Mike the Butcher 
เริ่มต้นความสนุกกับ Mike the Butcher ที่จะมาอุ่นเครื่องกับเพลงโซล เพลงแจ๊ส และอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย ดีเจจากกรุงลอนดอน ที่ประจำอยู่กรุงเทพฯ จะมาสร้างบรรยากาศชิว ๆ กับช่วงเวลาโพล้เพล้  ท่องโลกไปกับเพลงที่มีกลิ่นอายของบลู โซล เรกเก้ แอฟริกัน และแจ๊ส พร้อมออกเดินทางกันหรือยัง!! 

19.00 น. – 20.45 น: Standards, Bebop & Beyond โดย Pamai Trio & His Guitar Pals 
มาต่อกันกับ Pamai Trio & his Guitar Pals ที่จะมามอบเสียงดนตรีแจ๊สแบบคลาสิก และแนวต่าง ๆ อีกมากมาย นำโดย Pamai, Arnat, และ Changton ที่จะมาคลอเสียงกีต้าร์คู่กับเสียงเบสจาก Teerawat และเสียงกลองจาก Chanutr พร้อมฟังเสียงดนตรีเพราะ ๆ จากนักดนตรีคนเก่งของเรากันหรือยัง 

21.00 น. – 23.00 น: A Jazz Journey with Soul Funk โดย J.A.B. (Jazz at Bansomdej) 
ปิดท้ายกับเสียงดนตรีแจ๊สจากเหล่าคณาจารย์จากมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏบ้านสมเด็จเจ้าพระยา ที่จะมาเพิ่มจังหวะความสนุกของดนตรีแจ๊ส กับวง  J.A.B นำโดย พี ณัฐพล เฟื่องอักษร ที่จะมาเป่าแซกโซโฟน พร้อมกับ Panang มือกีต้าร์, ศิริวัฒน์ มือเบส, ทอฝัน มือกลอง, พีรพัฒน์ มือทรัมเป็ต ศรัณธรณ์นักร้อง …และแขกคนพิเศษที่ขอปิดไว้ก่อน!!😉
